Sean Causby is a Lompoc-born-and-raised multi-instrumentalist, music producer, teacher, and skittles enthusiast. He has played under his alma mater, Cabrillo High School, Allan Hancock College Bands, and PCPA. He currently sits in with the Central City Swing Big Band as their drummer, as well as local jazz sextet, Odd Method. He is currently attending Allan Hancock College to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Music and plans to attend the Icon Collective Production School in the winter of 2019.
When Sean isn’t in school, in rehearsal, or teaching at Certain Sparks Music, he likes to watch cult classic movies, explore nature, and eat spicy foods despite the fact that he cannot handle them. He also enjoys Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain.
Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There’s not some trick involved with it. It’s pure and it’s real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things. – Tom Petty
